Conrad, Groves, and colleagues look at characteristics of persuasive speech

A study conducted by Jose Benki, Jessica Broome, Robert Groves, Frederick Conrad, and Frauke Kreuter examined how speech rates, fluency, and pitch affected survey interviewers’ persuasiveness on the telephone. Results of this study were presented May 14, 2011 at the annual meeting of the American Association for Public Opinion Research.
