PSC Postdoc Practice Job Talk: Wesley Correll-King

Centering race and racism to understand population health inequities impacting trans people of color

Transgender and nonbinary (trans) populations experience health inequities across a broad range of infectious, chronic, behavioral, and mental health conditions. In the United States, these health inequities are concentrated among trans people of color. This talk on racial and ethnic differences in the association between trans-related state policies and self-rated health among trans women explores how combining critical theory and quantitative methods may help public health researchers and trans health advocates better address these inequities.
