The Programs Research and Standards Unit (PRSU) at the FBI is proposing a research project to explore the suitability of machine learning approaches to extracting key information from criminal history data with the goal of generating a notice for review by contributing law enforcement agencies. This is the first example of the use of machine learning techniques with criminal history data at FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS).
